Morning Jolt: Iran's president writes op-ed in Washington Post

In the news

A week after Russian President Vladimir Putin wrote an op-ed in the New York Times, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani did the same for the Washington Post.?Rouhani wrote,?"We must work together to end the unhealthy rivalries and interferences that fuel violence and drive us apart." The U.S. response has largely been positive, something that didn't happen with Putin's op-ed.
