Sydney Wedding Photographer | Tim Coulson: KESH | 39 WEEKS

This is my wife. Her name is Keshia but I call her Keshy, or Kesh.

On my about page, I didn't write about me - I wrote about her. I believe that we are who we are because of the people in our lives. Kesh can help you to know me better than I can.

Thirty six weeks ago, we found out we were having a baby. We'd waited for Kesh to finish the practical component of her Fine Arts degree and after a few months of trying, we still weren't pregnant. Kesh had taken so many pregnancy tests, I'd lost count and a little bit of faith.

We decided we would get some help to conceive but needed to take one more test to make sure Kesh wasn't pregnant. We were heading back home after shooting up the coast. We called in to Kesh's family home and realised we were alone...

I heard a scream from the bathroom and I knew it was different this time. In that instant, I knew.

I made a conscious decision to continue sharing our lives, and this part of it, on the blog. Every week, you've seen Kesh and our baby grow. Every week, I've spoken about this little family. I have felt so strongly to thank you, the beautiful reader, for every comment and kind word you have sent to us.

We have our fingers crossed that this is the last shoot in this series. If it is, the next images you see from me will be from the birth of our baby.

Over the last few weeks, I've had a few comments from people saying things like?I love the way you love Kesh. For me, loving Kesh isn't even a decision. I cannot not love her. I feel like I was created with the purpose of loving her.

There was a time in my life where I didn't think I would be a husband or a father. Darker times, where I found myself in places I shouldn't be. There was a blinding light though, shining on me. Dark and light can't be in the same place. It's not possible.

I hope that this blog can become a place of light and hope...in you and in life. Life is a miracle. You can see it, right there, in the first image.

I'm a photographer who wants to celebrate life. More than that, I'm a husband and a father who loves his wife and baby.
