Whatever Lola wants . . . Lola gets . . . and little Lola wants you!
Lola arrived at the SPCA Barn in September 2011 with her mother, who was suffering from severe laminitis. At the time, vets estimated Lola to be approximately 5 months old. Her mother was tall, long legged, Thoroughbred type horse, and Lola seems to be following that pattern.
While here, Lola has had baths, learned behave on a halter, stand for the farrier, have good manners for the vet, and trailer. She enjoys running around the round pen, kicking up her heels, and getting lots of rubs of love. Lola is extremely friendly and loves people.
The ideal home for Lola would be a place where working on her ground manners could continue, and where she would have time and space to grow up and into herself before being started under saddle. Because she is young, she does need someone with experience around horses. Lola has had an excellent start and her wonderful temperment and personality make her a barn favorite.

ADOPTION INFORMATION: All animals adopted from The SPCA of Monterey County are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have received vaccinations appropriate to age and species, permanent microchip identification, SPCA identification tag, health evaluations, behavior evaluations (for dogs) and more! Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to The SPCA of Monterey County in person to meet with an adoption counselor and complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other pets, if applicable) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone.
