Military Spokesman Denies Negotiations On Release of Ousted President

Egypt's Army Spokesman Colonel Ahmed Ali denied Friday any negotiations on a possible release of ousted President Mohamed Morsi.

Reports fanned on social websites claimed that a military commander is holding negotiations with former Morsi's secretary Ahmed Abdel Atty, but the spokesman said that such reports are groundless.

Ali reiterated commitment to the road map adopted after the June 30 revolution warning against rumors that may affect stability of the country.
