so i have a cousin who recently had a baby (she has 6 other kids all in foster care). Mom (my cousin) & dad were reported to have been doing drugs in the hospital shortly after the baby was born. baby has down syndrome and has been placed in foster care.
I am a foster home - however - i'm in sacramento and the baby is in los angeles. what do you do in this situation? i'd like to take the baby - and i'm sure my aunt would have no problem - she cant take any more as she is raising my cousins other 7 kids.
So do you all have any advice? i'm gnawing on this and i'm not sure what i want to do. my home is empty of foster kids - just my boys are home.
So advice. please.
